Peanut Butter Crinkle Cookies

I love crinkle cookies! They are not cookies that I make often but every time I make them I find myself wondering why I don’t make them more!

This recipe came through an instagram ad and I knew that I just had to try it! Reese cups have been some of my favorite candy since I was a little girl.  I just don’t think there is a much better combo than chocolate and peanut butter! I may have even been known to eat a spoonful of peanut butter with a few chocolate chips sprinkled on top!

This dough was pretty quick and easy to mix up.  The recipe calls for Reeses Peanut Butter which I did use, but I prefer Jiff which is generally stocked in my pantry.  I’ll finish the Reeses but I don’t think you need to buy it specifically for this recipe, any smooth peanut butter will be just fine!

Right after I made this cookie dough my whole house got sick with a cold.  The dough sat in my fridge covered for a few days before I actually rolled and baked the cookies.  Once I finally got around to baking them the dough was still really soft and rolled nicely.  With some recipes I feel like I’m fighting the dough to get it in nice round balls but not this dough!  The process was fairly quick even with rolling each dough ball in both granulated sugar and powdered sugar. I’m not positive that you really need to roll the dough in both sugars I think the powdered sugar would be just fine. The next time I make them I’ll test it out and report back!

These cookies were a big hit and definitely satisfied my peanut butter and chocolate craving!
